Are you recently engaged and looking to book a wedding venue in Utah County? Amavi is one of the newest reception centers in Utah County and we are here to help and give you 4 tips on booking your venue:

  1. Set your budget

It is important to set your budget before you begin scheduling tours at venues located in Utah County. It will help guide your venue research and narrow down the list of possible venues for you to tour.

2. Research venues

Now that you have set your budget it's time to begin the search for venues that fit within your budget and style. Google, The Wedding Wire, and The Knot are great resources for you to begin looking for event venues in Utah County and find out pricing, what they include, seating capacity and other basic information. If you don’t mind weekday weddings, researching venues that offer discounted pricing for weekday events is a great way to score your dream venue at a much lower price.

3. Tour Utah County Venues

Now that you have narrowed down your list of venues, it's time to begin touring! Some venues allow you to schedule tours directly on their website, others you will need to reach out via email or phone call in order to schedule. When it comes time for your tour, bring your fiance, wedding planner, your mom or other loved ones and come prepared with a list of questions that you may have. During your tour, take pictures and ask any of your questions that may not have gotten answered online during your research. You may need to be flexible in regards to dates, many venues book early so you may not always be able to book the date you are wanting. If you want to ensure you get the date you are wanting, make sure to book early!

4. Secure the date

Once you have toured all of the venues on your list and made your decision, it's important to reserve your date at the venue you have chosen! Venues in Utah County have different ways of reserving your date so make sure you are booking it according to that venue's guidelines (signing a contract, paying a deposit, etc.). Once you have reserved your date, it's time to get planning and booking your other vendors!
